How Ranking Works
On the bid comparison screen we may highlight one bid as “Best Value”. Suggestion generated automatically from the factors shown; it is not a recommendation to hire. You decide.
Who can be Best Value (the gate)
- For licensed trades, the Licensed Pro must hold the License Matched badge, be Active, and have no discipline flag.
- For jobs of $5,000 or more, the Documents on File badge is also required.
Score factors (0–100)
| Factor | Points |
|---|---|
Price vs. the median bid on this job Full points within ±10% of the median, scaled down further away. Bids more than 30% below the median get a “Low bid – check for missing scope” flag. | 25 |
Reviews Bayesian average (m = 10, C = platform mean) times a review-count factor. Self-reported ratings count at 50% weight. | 20 |
Credentials depth Years licensed (from the DBPR original licensure date), Florida entity age, Business Tax Receipt and workers’ comp on file. | 15 |
On-platform completion and disputes Completed jobs vs. awarded jobs, minus disputes. New Licensed Pros get neutral points. | 15 |
Timeline fit Earliest start date compared with the timeline you chose. | 10 |
Bid completeness Line items given, permits included, warranty stated. | 10 |
Response speed and distance How quickly the bid arrived and how far the Licensed Pro is from the job. | 5 |
What we never use
Client demographic or financial data, and Licensed Pro personal traits, are never used in ranking. Every suggestion’s inputs and score are logged.
Sorting and paid placement
You can sort bids by price, rating, distance or start date. Any paid placement is always labeled “Sponsored”.
